Hawthorn star midfielder Sam Mitchell was a special guest panellist during Channel Seven's weekly AFL show, Talking Footy and says when it comes to sledging Kieren Jack about his recent week off the field, it's not off the table.
It was revealed last week that Jack was caught in a personal matter with his parents over his current girlfriend, with Jack not inviting his parents down to Geelong for his 200th game.
Jack's mother, Donna took to Twitter, which is how the matter became public.
"So sad. Dad 200RL, you 200 AFL & you don't want us there, your parents," she said.
When asked about their upcoming clash on Thursday night, Mitchell says sledging Jack about the incident isn't off the table, but would be careful if he did go "there".
“I’m not going to say yes or no to it as such,” Mitchell said on Channel 7 on Monday night.
“It depends what you said. It wouldn’t be completely off limits, but you’d want to be careful would be what you’d say about it.”
Mitchell admitted that he is aware of the "line" and says there's still room for a bit of humour.
“There’s still some room for some humour and heckling, but if it goes over the line, everyone knows where that is at the moment,”
