Hawthorn defender Ben Stratton will miss the next three weeks after suffering a small pectoral tear in the team's loss to Melbourne last Saturday afternoon.
Stratton has become an important player for the Hawks over the last five seasons and been a crucial member in the team's recent reign of success.
“Ben will miss three-to-four weeks with his pectoral injury which isn't ideal,” Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Chris Fagan said.
“He’s an important part of our backline unit but we are confident others will step up to cover his absence.”
However, the Hawks could welcome back a number of premiership stars this weekend for their game against North Melbourne with Liam Shiels and Paul Puopolo in line to return from injury.
